  • Guiness....

I recognised that Guiness was sold in Japan which was made in Dublin. A few years ago, when I visited Japan as the business trip from UK, which was made in Japan but it had become made in Ireland, same as England.
I didn't like binned Guiness because it's unlikely.... you know, I remember always I recognised I should go to the pub to enjoy it but no choice in this country.... but am afraid I had the same impression. I am not quite how I can express how I am feeling, it's not creamy as it was in UK or Ireland.
The other day, I went to Iresh pub in the centre of Tokyo but it was different. (I think Iresh pub is another one wherever you go, you can see, the other is Chinese restaurant.)
I have to admit I have to go back to either UK or England to enjoy Guiness. (In Scotland, I prefer Tennant's Lager to Guiness).
As the indication, it cost GBP5.00 a pint of Guiness and GBP1.30 a bottle of Guiness here in Japan.

  • National Holidays....

Tomorrow is one of national holidays in Japan and next Moday as well.
I have to feel too much because I am workacholic. (just joking)
But I have to consider how many national holidays in this country and why so many. The first answer is 15 days a year! It's double from England! This is not national holidays but it is likely a lot of people taking off middle of August, called Obon and new year days, called Oshogatu. Everyone takes off simultaneously through the year in this country!

  • After the typhoon

Last week one of the biggest typhoon attacked Tokyo, this was the first one which I came across after coming back.
I think this reminded me now I am in the different place from UK. It is different because it is more powerfull and long lasting one. Especially even it went still here remained humid and hot temparature.

I heard that it was the last night proms last Saturday. Normally after the last night proms, started using the heater at night but still it is more than 25 C....

By the way, so far I have not come across the earthquake yet. I am not quite sure how I feel when I recognise it.

  • Eventually.....

It was almost 2 months ago when I came back from London to Tokyo after nine yeas. It was bid sudden....
Now I think I could have almost settled down so I'd like to start putting here what I have seen here in Tokyo and what I think....
First of all, it is one of the biggest changes after 9 years that you can easily find non-Japanese walking in the town, tube, supermarket.
So I have to admit that Tokyo may have become more international city....
